Wedding Wednesday: Party Favors

Growing up, my mom was the queen of party favors. Every year, my birthday party guests would leave with meticulously stuffed bags full of candy, pencils, hair bows and more! She even started volunteering to make other kid's goody bags too. She would have my siblings and I in an assembly line at our dining room table. We'd stuff and she'd tie the bows.

Knowing the two of us, the party favors at my wedding will be no less spectacular than the Giga Pets we gave everyone in third grade!

I have come across some pretty adorable ideas on Etsy and Pinterest. I am a year away from the wedding, but I am so ready to start ordering this stuff. Time to exhibit self control.

I love the Hersey Kisses stickers  and they would be pretty easy to do yourself. They sell them at most craft stores. You could stuff these into mason jars, or in the little pouches below!

I also love the idea of tying these little pouches around water bottles. Inside, you can put individual packets of Advil, Alka-Selttzer, mints, candy, etc. Cute and practical.

Living in Kentucky, it would be fitting to give guests a mini bottle of Kentucky Bourbon to take home. I found quite a few options on Pinterest. You can get the actual bottles customized, but I think the little notes on a brand name bourbon would be better. I found the idea below on The Knot. I love the phrase on the  little cards. Again, this would be a pretty simple DIY project.

I also liked the idea of sharing our favorite bourbon recipes. The only issue issue is that I am not a big bourbon fan. That statement might got me kicked out of Kentucky. Guess I will have to start experimenting!  This idea came from Style Me Pretty.

The Knot has been such a helpful resource. Here is a link to tons of party favor ideas!
